 START
The START risk factor screening tool is a simple web based form that allows for easy (YES-NO binary type responses) and quick identification of the presence of major ergonomic risk factors by body part that are not left open to interpretation (i.e. definitions with respect to posture, force, frequencies and exposures are part of the risk factor description).
The results are presented for each major body part in a "0" to "10" point scale with "0" being the lowest and "10" being the highest possible score for each body part. At the worksite an experienced assessor can complete a START survey in 20 minutes or less on a PDA and upload the data via a synching tool.
